There’s something about the Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo (SAVE) that goes beyond the gear, rigs, and vendor booths. It’s not just an event—it’s a movement. Held in Starke, Florida, SAVE is where overland culture comes alive, where stories are swapped over campfires, and where the Kruger Bush Campers crew felt right at home.

A Laid-Back Start

We pulled into Starke, Florida, on Thursday. Volunteers welcomed us with big smiles and bigger energy. Setup was smooth. After grabbing supplies and dinner in town, we returned to old friends and familiar faces from last year. The vibe? Chill, friendly, and full of anticipation.

The Real Draw: The People

By Friday, campers and visitors rolled in. SAVE kicked off with warm handshakes and gear talk. Our booth turned into a hangout spot. People came curious—asking about our rugged trailers and our road-tested setups. But they stayed to talk trails, share stories, and connect over their love for off-grid travel.

Each day ended with a fundraiser raffle supporting Tread Lightly, a group that helps keep trails clean and public lands open. We were proud to support a cause that aligns with our mission: protect the places we explore.

Saturday: Sun, Skies, and Surprises

Saturday brought a steady stream of new faces and returning friends. We talked overland gear. We swapped adventure tips. And then came the unexpected—an airshow and paratrooper drop right over the expo. It was wild. And it was perfect.

As the sun dipped low, the vibe shifted. Fires lit up. A cover band kicked in. We found ourselves around the flames with the team from Whiskey and a Hammock, sharing good whiskey and better stories. That kind of connection doesn’t need planning. It just happens.

Building More Than Campers

Events like SAVE remind us why we do what we do. Kruger Bush Campers is more than trailer design. It’s community. It’s exploration. It’s passion for the open road. We’re stoked to bring this same spirit to other events—like the New York Auto Show, now in its 125th year, where we proudly showcase our off-road rigs alongside the latest EVs, builds, and tech.

We’re especially excited about Overlander Weekend—a dedicated space inside the Auto Show that celebrates vehicle-based travel and self-reliant adventure. It’s a natural fit for what we do and who we build for.

Big thanks to everyone who dropped by—whether you came for gear talk or just a beer. And a shoutout to content creators like @WelcomeToTheOutdoors, @Lets.GoOutside, and @BBombsBigAdventure. You captured the weekend perfectly.

See You on the Trail

SAVE 2025? We’re already planning. If you were there, you felt it. If not, make the trip next time. We’ll be back—with stories, gear, and maybe a few surprises of our own.

Long roads. Clear skies. Cold drinks. See you out there.
