At Kruger Bush Campers, we design with purpose. Our campers are built for off-road adventures, for people who seek something real. But in 2023, a journey across five African countries shifted our focus. It reminded us that the most powerful journeys don’t end at the trailhead. They create change far beyond it.

What started as exploration turned into something far more urgent: action.

Why We Started the Savanna Water Foundation

In villages across East and Southern Africa, we met people with strength, warmth, and resilience. But we also saw daily struggles that clean water could erase. Children skipped school to carry water. Illness spread from unsafe sources. Basic survival meant long, dangerous treks—just for a drink.

That hit hard.

So we launched the Savanna Water Foundation—a nonprofit created by the same family behind Kruger Bush Campers. Its mission is direct: build wells that deliver clean, consistent water to the places that need it most.

We cover the overhead. Every dollar you give goes straight to the ground—where it matters.

The Connection Between Overlanding and Giving Back

Our campers are built for independence. For self-reliance. But water? That’s a human right—one no one should have to fight for.

Africa has always inspired Kruger Bush Campers. Its landscapes shaped our design. Its people shaped our values. Creating the Savanna Water Foundation is our way of giving something back.

Clean water means:

  • Better health
  • More kids in school
  • Stronger, more stable communities

We’re proud to turn every off-road journey into something deeper—real-world impact that outlasts the trip.

What’s Next for Kruger Bush Campers

We’ll keep building rugged trailers for people who don’t back down from rough terrain. But now, we also build wells. We build hope. We build something that matters long after the adventure ends. Because at Kruger Bush Campers, the road doesn’t stop at the campfire. It leads to something greater.

Thank you for being part of this story.
